Playwrights

To submit a piece of writing for our May scratch night, you need to register interest on or before March 15th send in a 10-15 minute piece of writing before March 31st. You can do this by emailing justouttheatre@gmail.com. We will announce our selected plays at the beginning of April and rehearse the pieces before the scratch night. 

Please note: We can only accept submissions from playwrights based in the North of England. 

Directors

If you are interested in directing for our scratch night events, please email us at justouttheatre@gmail.com. In the month before the event we will liaise with you and the chosen actors to organise rehearsals. We will email you with your extract in advance and all rehearsals will be in the centre of Manchester. Currently rehearsals are at the Old Bank Residency. 

Actors

If you are interested in acting in our scratch night events, please email us at justouttheatre@gmail.com. In the month before the event we will liaise with you and our chosen directors to organise rehearsals. We will email you with your extract in advance and all rehearsals will be in the centre of Manchester. Currently rehearsals are at the Old Bank Residency. 

As this is a scratch night, you will not be expected to learn your lines. Scripts will be provided and you will have them in the performance.
